Rising Tennis Star Chooses IMG for Worldwide Management and Marketing Representation
IMG, the world's premier sports, entertainment and media company, today announced that rising American tennis star, Michael McClune, has selected IMG for worldwide management and marketing representation.
As a junior, the 17-year old, 6 foot 2 inch native of Irvine, California, distinguished himself as the No 1. ranked player in the United States in the 12, 16 and 18 year-old age brackets.
Michael also won prestigious titles, including the Ojai High School Championships and the CIF High School Championships. He was named a 'High School All-American' in 2006 and was named the 'Player of the Year' in 2006 by the California Press.
“With his classic playing style, aggressive all court game and incredible abilities, Michael has the potential to be one of the game’s true champions," said Tony Godsick, Senior Vice President, IMG Tennis. "We’re delighted to work with Michael and the McClune family, and IMG looks forward to helping him emerge as the game’s next superstar."
IMG has already secured a multiyear footwear and apparel agreement with Nike for McClune.
